Steam & Steel is a single-player railway game that runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or share personal information. There are no accounts to create, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party services embedded in the game. This page explains, plainly, what that means.
The game asks for no personal information and gathers none about you. It does not request your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers. There is no sign-in and no profile.
The only information the game keeps is your own play progress — your network layout, engines and upgrades, your gold total, milestones, daily-streak status, and your sound, music and haptics preferences. This is ordinary game state, held so your railway is waiting where you left it.
Your saved progress is used for one purpose only: to run the game and restore your railway between sessions. It is never sold, shared, transmitted, or used for advertising or tracking, because it never leaves your device in the first place.
Everything happens locally. Building track, dispatching engines, tallying offline earnings when you return, and awarding daily gifts are all computed on your device and stored there in the app's own local save. No data is sent to us or to anyone else, and the game works with no network connection at all.
Because your progress lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting the app removes its saved data along with it. You can also clear your progress from within the game using the fresh-start option in the Signal Box settings.
Steam & Steel is a family-friendly game suitable for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and contains no advertising, no social features, and no external links inside gameplay.
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since the game does not collect data, any change is expected to be a clarification rather than a change in practice.
